Frequently Asked Questions
What is your ministry all about?
We seek to quickly respond to worldwide bad news situations and bad news places working with other Christians of like mindedness in order to fulfill the great commission of Jesus Christ in the most effective manner possible.
While we do provide humanitarian aid following the example of Jesus, our main goal is spiritual aid for the soul.
Our typical mission would see us doing outreach ministry, including preaching, singing, prayer, and distribution of humanitarian supplies in the refugee camps. We also specialize in training local ministries in evangelism.
Why do you target crisis situations?
We believe "crisis time is God's time." In other words, when we examine statistics, we find that most adults only come to the Jesus Christ during a crisis situation in their life.
People tend to think they know it all and are fully self sustained until the shock of crisis enters their life. Those crisis come in many forms such as war, famine, natural disasters etc. Then in the midst of the larger crisis picture are all the individual crisis each person faces as a result.
Jesus said, "Some people have ears, but they don't hear, some have eyes but
they don't see." However, let trouble come... and suddenly people are all ears,
and all eyes, looking for answers and help for their pain and solutions to their problems. People, like the prodical son must usually find themselves in pigpen situations, where pride leaves and repentance can then enter it's way into a broken heart to bring healing and restoration.
How do you finance your ministry?
Jerry Davis Streetreach International Ministries Inc. Is a federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. We need and accept contributions, allocations, and grants. Seventy (70%) percent of our funding comes from individual contributors. 20% comes from churches, and approximately 10% from corporate grants.
We encourage all believers to adhere to the scriptural admonition of giving tithes and offerings to the work of God.
